Bloomberg Analyst Predicts: XRP, Solana, and HBAR Crypto ETFs To Skyrocket in 2025

Key Takeaways

  • Regulatory Shifts Anticipated: Bloomberg analysts predict a wave of new crypto ETFs in 2025, driven by changes in SEC leadership.
  • XRP, Solana, LTC, and HBAR in Focus: These tokens may gain ETF approval, signaling broader adoption of digital assets.
  • Pro-Crypto Leadership Ahead: A new SEC chair with a lighter regulatory approach is expected to ease the path for crypto innovation.

A New Era for Crypto ETFs in 2025?

Bloomberg analysts forecast a surge in crypto ETFs in 2025, fueled by anticipated regulatory changes at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Prominent tokens such as XRP, Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), and Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) are being spotlighted for potential ETF launches under the new administration.

According to James Seyffart’s Bloomberg report, dual Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs from firms like Hashdex, Franklin Templeton, and Bitwise are likely to receive approval first.

However, the spotlight may soon shift to XRP and Solana ETFs, which are expected to gain momentum only after a leadership transition at the SEC.

Why XRP, HBAR and Solana?

The wait for ETFs targeting XRP and Solana stems from current regulatory scrutiny. XRP, in particular, has faced challenges under SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s tenure, marked by resistance to crypto innovations.

Litecoin and HBAR, which are not classified as securities, are seen as the next logical candidates for approval.

Litecoin, a fork of Bitcoin, is likely to be categorized as a commodity, making it easier to clear regulatory hurdles.

“We expect a wave of cryptocurrency ETFs next year, albeit not all at once,” Bloomberg Senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said.

What’s Driving the Change?

The changing regulatory environment is being attributed to the announced departure of SEC Chair Gary Gensler and the nomination of Paul Atkins, a former SEC commissioner known for his pro-crypto stance. Atkins is expected to introduce a more relaxed regulatory framework, paving the way for broader acceptance of crypto ETFs.

Eric Balchunas, Bloomberg’s senior ETF analyst, hinted at even more creative crypto ETFs on the horizon. In a humorous tweet exchange, he speculated about the possibility of a Dogecoin ETF, noting that in the fast-moving crypto space, today’s satire often becomes tomorrow’s reality.

Looking Ahead

With the anticipated leadership change and growing investor interest, the landscape for crypto ETFs is poised for a major transformation.

Analysts believe 2025 could mark the beginning of a new chapter for digital asset investment products, making tokens like XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin mainstream investment options.
